Chat & track

Visitors land in WhatsApp in one tap while you collect leads and analytics.

What a WhatsApp link is, and why the raw wa.me one is not enough

WhatsApp gives everyone a link — wa.me/ followed by your number — that opens a chat with you when tapped. Add ?text= and a message and the first line is already typed for the customer. That part is free and always will be, and if all you need is a tappable link in one place, honestly, use it.

The problems start the moment you use it seriously. It is long and unreadable, so it looks wrong in a bio and cannot go on a flyer. It tells you nothing — someone tapped it or nobody did, you cannot see which. And it points at exactly one phone, which is fine until two people share the inquiries. This page exists to fix those three things: a short branded link, click stats, and one link that routes to several numbers.

Getting the pre-filled message right

Write it the way a customer would actually type it, in first person, one line: “Hi! Is the blue kurta available in medium?” — not “Hello, I would like to inquire about your products.” People send the first as-is; they delete the second because it reads like a form letter. If the same link goes in several places, let the message say where they found you (“Hi, I saw your reel about…”) and you get free source tracking on top of the analytics. We wrote this up in detail in how to create a WhatsApp link with a pre-filled message.

Direct chat, profile page, or multi-agent?

  • Direct chat — tap, and WhatsApp opens with your message. Use this for the bio, the website button, anything where the person is already trying to reach you.
  • Profile page — tap, and a small branded page opens first: your name, logo, a line about what you do, one or more chat buttons, optionally a short lead form (name, email) before the chat. Use this when you have several numbers for different things (sales / support), or you want the email before the conversation starts.
  • Multi-agent — one link, several numbers, strict rotation: the first tap goes to agent one, the next to agent two, and so on, with working hours per person so a night-time tap does not go to someone asleep. Use this the day a one-person shop becomes a three-person shop. Nothing public changes — same link, same QR on the counter.

Not sure between a link, a QR and the WhatsApp Business catalog? This comparison is the short answer: tap → link, look → QR, already chatting → catalog.

What the analytics show

Every link records clicks by day and by hour (in your own timezone, set from your account country), the referring site, country and city, device and OS, and — for profile pages and multi-agent — which button or which agent got the tap. It counts taps; it does not identify people. That is enough to answer the question that matters: Instagram sent you forty people last week and the flyer sent you two, so where do you spend your Saturday?

Common questions

Does the customer need anything installed?

Just WhatsApp. The link opens the app on a phone and WhatsApp Web on a computer.

Can I change the number or the message after publishing?

Yes, from the dashboard, without the public link changing. Old posts, printed QRs — all keep working.

Does it work with WhatsApp Business?

Yes. A number is a number; the app on the other end does not matter.

Why is this paid when wa.me is free?

Because the free part is still free — we do not charge for the redirect. The plan pays for the short branded link, the QR, the analytics and the routing, which are the things wa.me cannot do. One link is $5 a month; see pricing.

Can I get the QR code?

Yes, PNG, SVG or PDF, generated from the same link, so scans show up in the same stats.
